About Us

The Dragonguard was born in the aftermath of the Wyrmscourge Rebellion, when the last of the Elder Wyrms vanished into myth, and the memory of their accords with mortals was lost to fire and betrayal. In the once-proud city of Vitry, built upon dragon-blooded stone and veiled history, a remnant order arose—sworn to uphold the sacred bond between mortals and the forgotten draconic legacy. Their sigil—a crimson field bearing a golden sword flanked by ceremonial trumpets—is a declaration of vigilance and memory. The sword stands for judgment; the trumpets, for heralding the truth before blade is drawn. They are not simply dragon slayers nor dragon worshipers—they are dragon stewards, guardians of the ancient flame and the forgotten vows it forged. Purpose and Creed The Dragonguard exist to preserve the broken compacts of the age when wyrms and kings once walked as equals. They serve not as conquerors nor as vassals, but as heralds of remembrance and blades of reckoning. They act where the blood of ancient oaths has been spilled and where the voice of justice needs to rise before the sword. “We do not kneel. We do not reign. We rise when truth is silenced.” Vitry — The Wyrmstone Hold The Dragonguard are headquartered in the Wyrmstone Citadel, an ancient stronghold buried within the basalt heart of Vitry, a city once said to have been founded on the bones of a sleeping dragon. Its halls echo with songs of old, its walls etched with wyrm-script and trumpet channels that carry ceremonial calls across the city. Vitry is their sacred post, and the Dragonguard walk its streets in silence—listening for echoes of betrayal, oaths unfulfilled, and embers waiting to awaken.
